Operating concept of technical products at the wrist

Name Operating concept of wearables at the wrist
Context Wearable IT
Performance change of the target group Taxonomy
Problem An increasing number of wearables are carried around the wrist. Associated therewith interaction concepts have to be appropriate for the wearing position.
Place of action Mobile, wearable
Solution approach Operating elements should be placed on the case. If they are placed sideward, as in the case of a watch, the wearable can only partially be worn on both wrists and the probability that the operating element is unintentionally activated by the clothing increases.

Limitations A touchscreen interaction is not considered.
